The absolute answer is: No… but… and yes, there is a but.
Stamping varnishes are more condensed in color, ie they are very pigmented and the consistency of the formula is thicker and more opaque, which allows the design to be really seen.
An ordinary varnish is thinner, the consistency is much more watery. So that means the polish won’t cling to the ridges and grooves of the stamping plates, making the drawings are not clear.
Can I use regular polish for stamping? Sure! but the result may not be what you want if the varnish is not sufficiently pigmented and thick. Experiment and experiment!
